It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Dorothy Powell Burrows of Andrews, South Carolina, born in Georgetown, South Carolina, who passed away on January 6, 2024, at the age of 97, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Murray M. Powell and Odell Godwin Powell of Andrews; her spouse Hazel Burrows; her siblings, Willard B. Powell, Legrand Powell, Ellison D. Powell and Geneva Powell Stone; and her son Michael.
She is survived by: her daughter Ginger Richardson (Charles) of Georgetown; her daughter-in-law Summer Pierce Burrows of Columbia; and her grandchildren, Hal Metts of Georgetown, Layla Metts of Surfside, Jeffrey Metts of Conway and Lee Black (Jeff) of Pickens. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
