He was predeceased by: his parents, Lonnie Legrand Newton and Isoline Ward Newton; his siblings, Ruthalee Howard (Harry), Rev. Ronald Newton (Shirley), Donald Newton (Deborah), Diane McCants, Jerry Newton (Betty Ann), Rosie Carter, Evalene Altman (Pressley), Betty Mae Baylor (Jehue), Yoakam Newton (Vera) and Douglas "Bub" Newton; and his brothers-in-law, Jamey McCants and Harris Carter.
He is survived by: his wife Glenda McCants Newton of Turbeville; his children, Tammy Hewitt (Randall) of Turbeville and Tracey Culick (Tony) of Turbeville; and his grandchildren, Joshua Culick of Turbeville, Gabriel Culick of Turbeville and Gabby Hewitt of Turbeville.
