He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Moody and Jannie Tallulah Poston Mobley; his wife Dorothy "Dot" Dean Mobley; and his brothers, Wayne Mobley and Legrand Mobley.

He is survived by: his sons, Timothy Mobley (Molly) and Christopher A. Mobley; his grandchildren, Todd, Travis, Maddy, Christopher, Ashley, Mycalea and Kirsten; his great grandchild Lakely; and his siblings, Linda Hill, Norris Mobley (Harriet) and Ricky Mobley (Lisa).
