It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Betty Mae Baylor (Andrews, South Carolina), who passed away on July 3, 2021, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lonnie Legrand Newton and Isolene Ward Newton; her spouses, Evalene Altman (Pressley), Yoakam Newton (Vera) and Douglas "Bub" Newton; and also, Jamie McCants and Harris Carter.

She is survived by: her siblings, Evalene, Yoakam and Douglas "Bub"; her son John Edward Baylor, Sr. (Faye); her grandchildren, John Edward Baylor, Jr. (Leslie), Chastity Baylor Ray and Michael Lee Baylor (Dawn); her great grandchildren, Winter Grace, Lindsey, Olivia, Lacey, Riley, Emily, Landon, Whitney and Sutton; and her siblings, Ruthalee Howard (Harry), Dale Newton (Glenda), Rev. Ronald Newton (Shirley), Donald Newton (Deborah), Diane McCants, Jerry Newton (Betty) and Rose Carter.
