He is survived by: his wife Rosa Whitner Maxwell; his children, Sharon Johnson (James), Glenda Maxwell, Brenda Paul (Joe) and William Thomas Maxwell, Jr. (Rhonda); and his siblings, Ellen Diane Murphy and Sammy Joe Maxwell. He is also survived by eight grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
