It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter Roosevelt Thompson of Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on March 12, 2022, at the age of 91, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James Thompson, Sr. and Elvira Wright Thompson; and his children, Penny T. Beeput and Cecil Thompson. He is survived by: his wife Annie Mixon Thompson; his children, Dennis Thompson of Columbia, SC and Roslyn Thompson of Baltimore, MD; his stepchildren, Gail Sandiford, Calvin, Denise, Darry (Vanessa), Michael Jackson and Lillian Barrios-Visintainer (Jason); and his siblings, Isabella Jackson, Henry, James Thompson, Peggy Wilks and Dorothy Pressley. He is also survived by grandchildren, nieces, nephews and friends.
