It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Walter James Hammond of Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on November 3, 2023, at the age of 65, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tonnie Carolyn Hammond and Walter James Hammond Sr.; his sister Kathy Brown; and his daughter Christy Marie Hammond. He is survived by: his daughters, Jennifer Hammond and Jessica Hammond; his girlfriend Martha Broome; his girlfriend's children, Michael Broome and Rebecca Harold; and his siblings, Michael Hammond "Mikey" and Molly Felker. He is also survived by numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
