With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Sonja Elaine Nance Mattress of Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on July 27, 2021 at the age of 71. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her husband Bobby Mattress; her parents, Booker T. Nance, Sr. and Mattie Berry Nance; and her sister Carol Yvonne Cabell. She is survived by: her children, Kermia Mattress Adams (Michael), Yusef Mattress (Andrea) and Kehinde Garrison; and her siblings, Neika Delores Garrison, Mashon Nance and Booker Terry Nance, Jr.. She is also survived by thirteen grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
