She was predeceased by: her parents, Mason Gordon Sr. and Jennie Ruth Burts Gordon; her sisters, Helen Gordon Jones and Betty Jean Gordon Mattison; and her grandson Dorian Paul.
She is survived by: her husband William Charles Smith; her children, Timothy Smith (Patsy), Chaka Smith and Gordon Smith; her siblings, Johnny Mason, Jr., Annie Ruth Stewart of Greensboro, NC, Ellen Dean of Greensboro, NC and Sara Lynn Smith of Anderson; her siblings-in-law, Florence Smith of Anderson and Roosevelt Massey (Betty) of Anderson; her grandchildren, Mason Salahudin, Jamison Roundtree, Anginesha Smith, Lataya Paul and Ayana Paul; and her great grandchildren, Josiah McCoppin and Naomi Cunningham.
