We are sad to announce that on April 24, 2020, at the age of 92, Rufus Martin (Anderson, South Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frances Morris Martin and Eugene Martin; his wife Dorothy Bell Hanks; his children, Shirley Dianne Martin Jones and Rufus Leon Martin; and his siblings, Lillie Martin Crosby Strothers, Lewis Martin, John Martin and Otis Martin.
He is survived by: his daughter Gloria Whitner (Donnie) of Anderson, SC; his granddaughters, Michelle Hemphill (Steven) of Rock Hill, SC and Tammy Jones (Ronnie Sullivan) of Anderson, SC; his great grandchildren, Shanae of Rock Hill, SC, Ayanna of Rock Hill, SC, Cameron Hemphill of Rock Hill, SC and Harmoni Sullivan of Anderson, SC; and his great great grandchildren, Keariah of Rock Hill, SC and Ariane Banks of Rock Hill, SC. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
