He was predeceased by: his parents, Myrel Hampton and Louise Lewis Sanders; and his nephew Clete Sanders. He is survived by: his daughter Merritt Sanders Rechichar; his grandsons, Patrick Rechichar and Briggs Rechichar; his brothers, Newlan Sanders and Grady Sanders; and his nieces and nephews, Janet Gromelski, Bryan Sanders, Matt Sanders, Kit Sanders, Amy Coleman and Pat Sanders.
