It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Robert Leroy Kay (Anderson, South Carolina), born in Webb City, Missouri, who passed away on September 25, 2023, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Homer S. Kay and Thelma Schmidgall Kay. He is survived by: his wife Marcia Tibbetts Kay; his son Richard Simons of Omaha, NE; his stepsons, Brian Ballard of Atlanta, GA and Stephen Ballard of Boynton Beach, FL; his sister Carolyn Hobbs; his nieces, Ella Kay Jones and Roxanna Bedor; and his close friend Burnell (Sue Albers).
