He is survived by: his children, Kim McAuley Astrand (Bjorn) of Sweden, John R. McAuley of Thailand and Andrew R. E. McAuley of Anderson; his grandchildren, Savannah Astrand and Karl Johan Astrand; and his pet Flossie.
