He is survived by: his parents, Betty Crosby Cowans and Robert Lee Cowans Sr. (Elaine); his siblings, John Quentin Cowans (Fanta) of Decatur, GA, Thomas Christopher Cowans of Anderson, SC and Candace James (Durand) of Easley, SC; and his aunt Flora Lee Crosby Williams of Anderson, SC.
