He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul R. McAlister, Jr. and Myra Wright McAlister. He is survived by: his brother Gary W. McAlister (Denise) of Anderson; his nephew Noah W. McAlister; his niece Anna Grace McAlister; and his pet Mac.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Broadway Fire Department, 1704 Speedway Dr., 29621 or Eureka Baptist Church, 1600 US-29 North, Anderson, SC 29621.
