She was predeceased by: her husband Claude Willie B. Smith; her daughter Linda Gail Smith; her grandson Billy Vance; and her siblings, Mattie Leslie, Jessie Crosby, Eunice Elam, J. C. Leslie, Eugene Leslie and Frank Leslie.
She is survived by: her children, Barbara J. Vance of Anderson, SC, Claude H. Smith of Anderson, SC, Hattie M. Smith of Anderson, SC and Joe T. Smith of Anderson, SC; and her sister Ruth Leslie of Anderson, SC. She is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-five great-grandchildren; thirty-eight great-great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other dear relatives and friends.
