He was predeceased by: his parents, C. M. Phillips, Jr. and Janet Moore Phillips Reeves. He is survived by: his wife Betty Jean Phillips; his children, Megan Phillips Callaham (Michael) and William Joshua Phillips (Randa Sanders Phillips); his grandsons, Aiden Michael Callaham and William Banks Phillips; and his sisters, Elaine Compton (Larry) and Cynthia Cox (Chris).
