He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Edward and Evelyn Irene Brown McAlister. He is survived by: his son Cody Evesque; and his brothers, Steve McAlister (Colleen) and Phillip McAlister (Donna).

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Cancer Association of Anderson, 215 East Calhoun Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
