She was predeceased by: her parents, Rufus Hawkins and Lucille Elrod Hawkins; her husband Lemuel D. "Lem" McClain; her brother Ray Hawkins of Laurens, S. C.; and her nephew Chris Hanks.
She is survived by: her sons, Greg McClain (Anne) of Lillington, N. C. and Bill McClain (Debbie) of Thomaston; her grandchildren, Jonathan McClain (Christine), Caitlin McClain, Sean McClain, Lawton McClain and Gavin McClain; her great grandchild Wynn McClain; her siblings, Derrell Sears of Anderson, Carolyn Williamson of Anderson, Betty Hanks of Anderson, Ted Hawkins of Anderson and Rita O'Neal (Ron) of Anderson; her sister-in-law Mary Ann Hawkins of Laurens, S. C.; her stepgranddaughter Sydney Sharpe (Matt); and also Myles.
Visitation was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM and on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Boulevard Baptist Church (700 Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621). A funeral service was held on Saturday, February 8th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, February 14th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Cooper Veterans Cemetery (140 Inway Dr, Anderson, SC 29621).
