She was predeceased by: her parents, William Robert and Corine Carithers Fortner. She is survived by: her husband James T. Smith; her children, Amanda Smith and Adam Smith; her siblings, Ruby Graddy (David) of Williamston, SC and William Gregory Fortner of Belton, SC; and her friend Sherry Madden. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

The family will be at the home of Mrs. Danny Smith and ask that in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Hospice of the Upstate or Anderson PAWS.
