She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Slauenwhite and Helena Slauenwhite; her husband Ralph E. Howell; her daughter Priscilla Sellars (W. C.); her son-in-law Ron Cox; her great grandchild Sara Hawley Dixon; her siblings, Kathleen Pickreign and Bruce Slauenwhite; and her friend James Hall.

She is survived by: her daughters, Susan Hawley (Matt) and Janis Cox of Greenville, SC; and her brother Ronald Slauenwhite (Nancy) of Tyler, TX.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, 209 Broad Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
