She was predeceased by: her husband Albert Groves, Jr.; her son Albert Groves III; and her siblings, Janice Mae Hughes, Susie Hatten, Bessie Rice, Mildred Whitfield, Grady Goodine, George Goodine and Richard Goodine.

She is survived by: her children, Julia Richardson (James), Mary Smith (Barry) and Larry Groves (Hannah); and her niece Ann Richardson (Bob). She is also survived by nine grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
