It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Margaret A. Holmes (Anderson, South Carolina), who passed away on October 15, 2021, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her son Russell Curry; her great grandchild Kailyn C. Oglesby; and her siblings, Cathryn Newell, Mildred Gambrell, Barbara J. Foreman, Helen Wardlaw, Bertha Curry, Lizzie Dean, Mary Owens, Betty R. Vizcarrondo, Bathsheba Timpson and Leetha Curry.
She is survived by: her sibling Lourlee; her husband Jerome Holmes; her siblings, Thomasenia Glass, Julia Wideman Reeves, Joann Curry, Sarah Stewart and Lester Curry, Jr.; her children, Sandra Oglesby (Clarence), Eddie Curry and Melody Holmes; her grandchildren, Rickey Oglesby (Latoya), Forris Gilliard (Christine), Antonio Jones (Confidant), Maurice Mills, Detravious Mills, Maritza Oglesby, Dimitrica O. Jamerson (Bernard), Curry Oglesby, Shawanna Gillard and Shardae Gillard; and her friend Dorothy Williams. She is also survived by twelve great-grandchildren; forty-four nieces and nephews; and a host of other family members and friends.
At the request of the family, there will not be a repast after the service due to the covid pandemic and all attendees are encouraged to please wear a mask at the service.
