She was predeceased by: her parents, Thomas Grady and Essie Wiggins Gilmer; and her siblings, Thomas Gilmer and Betty Alverson. She is survived by: her husband Bill Shaw of Anderson, SC; her son Mikey Sexton of Irmo; her stepsons, Joe of Anderson and Mike Shaw of Anderson; her daughter Darlene Ballard of Honea Path; and her stepdaughter Christine Cook of Anderson. She is also survived by ten grandchildren.
