It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Lizzie Lue Garrett of Anderson, South Carolina, born in Lincolnton, Georgia, who passed away on January 15, 2022, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Joe Mims and Annie Mae Mims; her children, Felicia Garrett, Rev. Glen Mims (Brenda) of McCormick, SC, Joseph W. Garrett of McCormick, SC, Anthony Garrett (Angela) of Augusta, John Garrett (Sandra) of Troy, SC, Bobby Garrett (Tammie) of Greenwood, SC and Rev. Paul Garrett (Alexandria) of Anderson, SC; her siblings, Wilbor Mims (Evelyn), Charlie Norman (Mamie), Willie, Lillie Martin (Wallace), Betty Norman, Shirley Norman and Robbie Harrison (Philp); her sons, Freddie Lee Garrett Jr. and Willie MacAuthor Garrett; and her brothers, Joe Lee Mims (Jane) and Bobby Norman (Teresa). She was also cherished by eighteen grandchildren, forty-four great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
