Joyce Pace Johnson Obituary
Joyce Annette Pace Johnson, 77, passed away Monday, November 22, 2021. Born in Williamston, SC, she was the daughter of the late Woodrow Stoddard and Rachel Timms Pace. She was a graduate of Mars Hill College. Joyce was a retired teacher in School District 5 having taught at South Fant Elementary School and McCants Middle School.
She was an active member of North Anderson Baptist Church where she sang in the choir, was a member of the W.M.U. and worked with the youth. Survivors include her husband of 54 years, Tom Johnson; son, Tommy Johnson and wife, Laura; and two sisters, Karen Pace Harris (Bo) and Jane Lawrence. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by three sisters, Joann Ray, Martha Sutherland, and Patsy Pace; and four brothers, Woody Pace, Larry Pace, Brian Pace, and Steve Pace.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 27, at Sullivan-King Mortuary Chapel conducted by Rev. Michael Hanley. Burial will follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. Saturday prior to the service. Flowers will be accepted or memorials may be made to North Anderson Baptist Church, 2308 North Main Street, Anderson, SC 29621.
