She was predeceased by: her parents, Harold Kay and Ella Whitten Kay; her siblings, George Sanford "Bud" Kay, William Harold "Bill" Kay and Miriam L. Kay; and her stepson Michael Palmer.
She is survived by: her husband William C. Palmer; her stepdaughter Paige P. Melville (Scott); her stepgrandchildren, McKenzie and Grant Melville; her nephew John S. Kay; and her nieces, Sandra Coen, Andrea Haskell and Amanda Spigener.
