He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Monroe and Ruby Clementine Klepper Walker; and his brother Bob Walker. He is survived by: his wife Brena Bain Walker; his daughters, Andra Looper (Keith) of West Pelzer and Melanie Ferguson (Kenny) of Chattanooga; his grandchildren, William Justin Looper (Lily Franklin Looper), John Marshall Looper (Haleigh Layne Looper), John Maxwell "Max" Ferguson (Eleanor Prescott) and Ruby Lane Ferguson; his great grandchild William Ridge Looper; and his brothers, James Albert Walker and Harvey Dale Walker.

In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Ruth School and the Ruth Project, c/o Boulevard Baptist Church, 700 N. Boulevard, Anderson, SC 29621.
