He was predeceased by: his parents, John Boyd, Sr. and Mary Willis Hanna; his son John Boyd Hanna III; and his siblings, Harold Charles Hanna and Agnes Hanna Wofford.
He is survived by: his wife Betty Hanna; his children, Sara Yvonne Waldrop (Bobby), David Harold Hanna, Sr. (Mary Ann) and Steve Rhodes (Paula); and his friend Peggy Rhodes. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made, in his name, to the YMCA of Anderson.
