With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joan Thomas Vassar of Anderson, South Carolina, born in Williamston, South Carolina, who passed away on October 19, 2020 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Henry Levi and Janie Thomas; her husband Robert Lanier Vassar; and her grandson Brandon Partain. She is survived by: her children, Scott Vassar, Lisa Vassar Partain and Celeste Vassar Craft; her brothers, Bob Thomas and Dick Thomas; and her grandchildren, Kevin Craft, Elise Martin (Ricky), Erica Brown, Patrick Craft (Nicole) and Robert Partain (Jackie). She is also survived by 9 great grandchildren; and numerous extended family and friends.

Flowers are accepted or donations can be made to the charity of one's choice.
