She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Kilgore and Margaret Gresham Smith; her son Jon Phillip Burdette; her stepdaughter Dawn Marie Bailey; and her siblings, Joseph Kilgore Smith, Jr. and Bobbie Smith.
She is survived by: her husband Dr. George O. Bailey; her son Joseph Vince Burdette (Ines); and her stepsons, Steven Powell Bailey (Leslie) and George Osgood "Chip" Bailey (Lisa). She is also survived by four grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
