He was predeceased by: his father James William; and his granddaughter Savanna Welch. He is survived by: his siblings, Susan Welch of Gastonia, Ann Lowe of Gastonia and Ronnie Welch of Albemarle, NC; his daughter Cassandra Welch Suiter of Tennesse; and his granddaughter Gracie Welch of Tennessee.
