He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Jenkins and Edna Hamby Jenkins; his stepson Dean Mynatt; and his brothers, Jack B. Jenkins and Robert "Bob" Jenkins.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Walker Jenkins; his children, Curtis Michael Jenkins, Valerie Lynne Jenkins and Lisa Renee Amis (Dan); his stepson Alan Mynatt; his siblings, Betty Faye Nichols, Martha Ann Wasterlain, Thomas "Bill" Colen Jenkins and Richard Allen Jenkins (Patty); his granddaughters, Brittany Harrison and Lizzie Porter (Drew); and his great grandchild Briley Porter.
