With heavy hearts, we announce the death of James Ray Newton of Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on June 26, 2023 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his father Billy Ray Newton. He is survived by: his wife Anne Strawn Newton; his children, Ryan, Haley and Kelly Newton; his mother Doris Newton Blevins; his brother Rev. Jacky Newton (Becki); and his close friend Chai. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
