It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James R Tallent of Anderson, South Carolina, born in Concord, North Carolina, who passed away on July 4, 2020, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Luther and Elsie Causby Tallent; and his grandson Ian Jordan Fischer. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Gillespie Tallent; his children, Aimy Tallent Cook (Ed) of Marietta and James Anthony "Tony" Tallent (Myra) of Indian Trail, NC.; his grandchildren, Parker Caroline Boland, Ashley Humphrey (Matt), Kristin Steadings (Michael), Stephanie Davisson, Nicole Tallent-Smith (Will), Katherine Widner (Ian), Christopher Tallent and Noah Tallent; and his great grandchildren, Lilly, Shawn, Liam, Ryan, Pierce, Lucas, Stella, Graham, Miles, Finley, Carson, Jude, Emma, Adeline and Finn. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, and loving sisters-in-law, and brothers-in-law.
