He was predeceased by: his parents, James Oscar and Toleva Harbin Mullinax. He is survived by: his wife Sybil Dyar Mullinax; his children, Stevenia and Trace Mullinax; his stepchildren, Teresa Kelley, Janice Broadwell, Robin Welborn, Jackie Ivester and Susan Beene; his sister Emily Welmaker; and his niece Amy Wilson. He is also survived by 16 grandchildren.
