He was predeceased by: his parent Howard Hardy. He is survived by: his spouse Sherry Rhodes Hardy; his parent Verena Hardy; his sons, James Cole Hardy of Anderson and Stephen Smolczynski of Philadelphia, PA; his siblings, Larry D. Hardy of Boone, NC and Karen Hardy of Anderson; his parent-in-law James; and his siblings-in-law, Ivy McBride of Anderson and James Dean Rhodes of Myrtle Beach.
