He was predeceased by: his parents, Aaron Andrew and Edna Butler Haning; his son Doug Haning; his great grandchild Lorelai Winesburg; his siblings, Ester Duncan, Louis Earl Haning, Marie Garner, Aaron Andrew Haning, III, Eileen Haning, Benjamin Haning and Vera Langston; and his son-in-law John Lindsay.
He is survived by: his children, Wanda Lindsay of Monroe, WI, James F. "Jimmy" Haning, Jr. (Lynn) of Pelzer, Donna Williams (Mike) of Anderson and Daysa Lewis (Craig) of Belton, TX; and his daughter-in-law Jessica Haning of Anderson. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren, seventeen great-grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.
