He was predeceased by: his parent James Edward Gilliam, Sr.; his brother Johnny Gilliam; and his grandmother Lola Fuller. He is survived by: his wife Dedra H. Gilliam; his children, Jamey Christopher Gilliam of Anderson, SC and Rebecca Helena Gilliam of Anderson, SC; his siblings, Mike Gilliam of Anderson, SC, Ronnie Gilliam of Liberty, SC, Edward Dunn of Liberty, SC, Donnie Ray Gilliam of Liberty, SC and Deborah Green of Liberty, SC; and his granddaughters, Caitlyn and Aryana Gilliam.
