He was predeceased by: his wife Sybil Hamby; his father James B. Hamby; his son Jerry Lee Hamby; and his grandson Austin Kyle Griffin. He is survived by: his children, Michael Hamby (Roberta) and Teresa Griffin (Rick); his grandchildren, Brittani Osborne (Nik), Corey Griffin (Brooklyn), Hanna Mullikin (Chris) and Kylie Griffin; and his great grandchildren, Rainey, Bentlee, Barlee, Ruby, River and Bo.
