He was predeceased by: his spouse Myrtie Crawford Gilliam; and his parents, Thomas Gilliam and Lonnie Rumsey Gilliam. He is survived by: his children, April Gambrell and Chad Gilliam; his grandchildren, Tyler Gambrell and Ciara Gambrell; his great grandchildren, Elizabeth Gambrell, Alex Gambrell and Ashton Gambrell; and his siblings, Joe Gilliam and Betty Wilson (Donald).
