He was predeceased by: his wife Marian Anderson Moore; his parents, William Moore and Rachel Bigby Moore; and his siblings, Anna Jean Boston, Velma Lois Moore, Broadus Moore and John Edward Moore.
He is survived by: his daughters, Regina Garvin, Alandia Collier, Robin Evans, Myra Johnson, Tarell Thompson and Natrell Darden; and his siblings, Inez Gaines, Nettie Sue Richardson, Irene Moore and Nathaniel Moore. He is also survived by ten great-grandchildren.
