He was predeceased by: his parents, Clarence W Brown and Mary Epps Brown; and his siblings, Gaines Brown, Norman Brown, JB Brown, Jule Fowler and Catherine Blackstock.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia "Pat" Brown; his children, Eddie Brown (Gena), Pam Edmondson (Cleve) and Dawn Goolsby; and his sister Caroline Graham. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren; and 4 great-grandchildren.
