She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward "Nub" McClain and Georgia Thomas McClain; and her child Jesse Ballard. She is survived by: her siblings, Barbara Philyaw of Belton, SC, Leona Carlan of Commerce and Danny McClain of Anderson; her daughter Georgia Glackin of Easley; and her grandchildren, Constance Ballard Reger (Roy), Johnathan Pettigrew (Kelsey), Miranda Burgess Brunson (Michael) and Shelby Durham (Megan). She is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren.
