She was predeceased by: her husband James H. Thorne; her parents, Major Augustus and Eunice Jones McCown; her son Stephen D. Thorne; and her siblings, Dean, Kenny, Raymond, Sam McCown and Ethel McCown.
She is survived by: her daughter Melanie Thorne; her daughter-in-law Sue Thorne Schwarting (Captain Richard Schwarting); and her grandchildren, Katie Schwarting and Phillip Schwarting.
