It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ernest Jackson Sr. of Anderson, South Carolina, who passed away on December 17, 2022, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Mader Gilliard-Jackson and John Gilliard-Jackson; and his siblings, Peggy Ann Jackson-Perry and Leon Jackson. He is survived by: his sons, Maurice Maddox, Ernest Jackson, Jr. (Etha) and Carlos Jackson; his siblings, Bobbie Jean Jackson, Elodis E. Jackson-Williams (Washington D. C.), Annette Hunter, Larry Jackson and Edward Jackson; his grandchildren, Thaddeus Cowan and Bri'Asia Jackson; his great grandchild Geovonni Cowan; and his aunt Birdie Gilliard.
