He was predeceased by: his parents, John D. Hursey and Nannie Lee Miller Hursey; and his sister Wanda Jordan. He is survived by: his wife Ouida Sellers Hursey; his children, Phillip Hursey of Simpsonville and Angela Matheny (Tripp) of Sugar Hill, GA; and his granddaughters, Sydney and Claire Matheny.
