She was predeceased by: her parents, William Hawkins and Marie Kirby Hawkins; and her husband John "Bud" Thomas Stuart. She is survived by: her children, Sandra Hopkins (Wayne) of Anderson, Janet Moore (Ralph) of Anderson and Randy Stuart of Anderson. She is also survived by six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Hospice of the Upstate, 1835 Rogers Rd., Anderson, SC 29621.
