He was predeceased by: his wife Joyce Smith Burris; his parents, Herman McKinley and June Mattingly Burris; and his siblings, Ouida, Wanda, Marilyn and Don.
He is survived by: his children, Danna Stansell (Joe) of Williamston and Mark Burris (Patsy) of Anderson; his sister Venita Riley; his grandchildren, Kaitlin Stansell (A. J.), Joey Stansell (Haley), Cory Burris (Brittany) and Ivey Parker (Nick); and his great grandchildren, Ella, Maddox Burris and Emmersyn Stansell.
