He is survived by: his friend Nellie Mae Cowan; his children, Betty Tecora Harris and Matthew Pickens of Anderson, SC; his grandchildren, Niyheem Calhoun, Caiden Allen and Ava Andrew; his siblings, Patricia Sloan, Larry Sloan of Boston, Massuchesettes, Gregory Sloan of Boston, Massuchesettes and Ronald Sloan of Boston, Massuchesettes; and his nephews, Clarence and Malik Sloan.
